As a Researcher at the Renewable & Sustainable Energy Research Center (RSERC, TII), he leads cutting-edge projects in wind energy, passive cooling, and sustainable water harvesting. His expertise spans fluid-structure interaction, noise control, propulsion systems, and metamaterials, with a strong focus on numerical modeling and computational simulations.

Dr. Akhter holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, and a PhD in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. His doctoral research led to the development of advanced flow-control mechanisms for wind turbine blades, significantly enhancing aerodynamic and aeroacoustic performance. His innovations have resulted in multiple patents in wind energy and drone noise reduction, showcasing his commitment to pioneering real-world solutions.
